I GET IT!

I’m here to help you focus on what mattersyour well-being! — and build your resiliency to adapt to life with greater ease and authenticity.

Hi! I’m Megan.

I’m happy you stopped by.

As Registered Psychotherapist and former lawyer, I’m here to help you deal with your challenges in this fast-paced world. This is especially important if you’re in a high-stress profession – perhaps you are a first responder, a lawyer, a health care professional or a manager. Your responsibilities are big, and so are your expectations for yourself.

I specialize in helping people like you navigate the complexities of your personal and professional lives. My virtual therapy practice offers a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, gain valuable insights, and develop skills to overcome obstacles and live a more authentic and fulfilling life.

Think of me as your virtual confidant, supporter, and guide, all rolled into one. No judgment here – just a warm, understanding, and relatable space where you can speak honestly, explore yourself on a deep level, and work on building the life you want.

Feel free to read more about my work, and if you decide that you’d like to talk to me – you can book a free initial consultation to find out more about my services. I’m looking forward to meeting you!

You’re in the right place if you struggle with:

  • Stress, burnout, and overwhelm

  • Anxiety

  • Trauma

  • Performance stress

  • Relationship, boundary, or communication challenges

  • Big life transitions and decisions

  • Low self-confidence or self-esteem

For many professionals, these challenges are their everyday reality. But there is a point when you need to say, enough is enough, and start to bring some balance back to your life. My role is to help you get there and enjoy a more fulfilling and authentic life, not just mere existence.

If you struggle with some of the challenges I listed above, don’t hesitate and reach out! You’re not on your own.

Let’s work together to find what works for you.
I often help clients with:

Anxiety

You don’t have to feel anxious all the time. We can work on understanding the root of your anxiety and starting to let some of that go.

Stress & Burnout

Learn how to prioritize your psychological well-being, cope better with stress, and find a balance that works for you.

Trauma

Past trauma doesn’t have to continue to impact your life. I offer a safe space to process your trauma and find a way to move forward. I offer a variety of approaches to trauma therapy including EMDR.

Relationships

If you struggle in your relationships or simply want to form deeper and more authentic connections with others, I can help you gain confidence and thrive as your authentic self.

Approaches that I draw from:

EMDR Therapy

Process and reduce the psychological and neurological impact of past traumatic experiences. I offer this evidence-based approach in traditional and intensive formats.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy

Learn to cultivate greater acceptance of yourself, your thoughts, and your feelings. Connect with your core values and find greater meaning and intention.

Other Approaches

I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches to best meet your needs - because therapy is NOT one-size-fits-all. This includes mindfulness, self-compassion, parts work, and narrative therapy.

Why start therapy with me?

The shortest answer is because I can understand where you’re coming from!  I am a former lawyer, and I work with Millennials and Gen-Z professionals and students because I can relate to their challenges - and I have the training to know how I can help.

Clients frequently say they feel comfortable and at ease with me, and also that they feel heard and accepted.

My clients value that I listen and come into sessions as myself – with my empathy, humour, warmth, and curiosity.  Clients also appreciate that I am a very active therapist (I don’t just sit there and nod!). You can expect that I will ask questions, make suggestions, and challenge (when necessary!). You can expect that we will collaborate on your goals and the direction we take in therapy, and you can count on my checking in a lot to ensure you feel we are moving in the right direction.

If that sounds like something you’re looking for, feel free to get in touch today.

Why virtual therapy?

If you’re thinking about starting therapy, perhaps you’re wondering if virtual/on-line therapy is a good choice. The answer is yes, and here’s why:

  • Convenient & Confidential: Access our therapy sessions from the comfort of your home or office, ensuring maximum convenience and privacy. No commute necessary!

  • More Options to Find the Right Fit: Vibing well with your therapist is critical to your success in therapy (the research backs this up!), and going virtual gives you more options to find the right therapist for you. We can work together even if we don’t live in the same city!

  • Flexible Scheduling: Being virtual allows me to be more flexible with my session times. This means it’s easier for you to make your sessions without the scheduling stress!

Start with a free consultation

If you don’t like the way your life or emotional/mental well-being looks right now, I’m here to help you. I understand that you may have some questions or uncertainty about therapy, and I’m happy to answer them for you.

My consultations are informal and chatty. The choice of whether to move forward is always yours. I can promise that you won’t get a sales pitch or pressure to schedule a session if you are feeling unsure.

If you want to book your consultation, please go to my online schedule through the purple booking button.

If you want to ask some questions before you book, you can always get in touch with me first through the grey button.

I’m looking forward to meeting you!
