Anxiety is a part of life –

Are you struggling with anxiety?

Anxiety can really get in the way of your life. I can feel like you have lost control. It may keep you from doing what matters to you.

Do any of the below sound familiar?

  • You suffer from persistent and uncontrollable worries about past, future and even everyday situations – maybe your mind often fixates on potential worst-case scenarios

  • You have this feeling of constantly being “on edge”

  • You find yourself to be easily irritable or easily frustrated

  • Maintaining good relations with others is challenging

  • You have trouble concentrating and feel distracted a lot of the time

  • You experience a sense of panic, dread, or impending doom, maybe even panic attacks

  • Falling asleep is difficult (maybe your mind is racing) and you don’t feel well-rested (even if you are resting a lot)

  • You   experience somatic symptoms, such as a pounding or racing heart, sweating, headaches, breathing issues (hyperventilation), dizziness, and abdominal pains or nausea

  • If you experience social anxiety or performance anxiety, some of these above symptoms may be related specifically to social situations, public speaking, athletic events, writing tests, etc.

That’s not an exhaustive list, but if any of these symptoms sound familiar, don’t hesitate to reach out! You don’t have to feel this way. Anxiety fundamentally relates to our nervous system – basically, it is trying to keep us safe by identifying threats. But sometimes, our system can get a bit stuck and may react to threats even when we are safe. It won’t happen overnight, but you can help your nervous system regain its equilibrium and function adaptively and helpfully.

Virtual anxiety therapy in Ontario

Anxiety therapy provides a way out of your fears and worries. I use various therapeutic approaches and modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), parts work, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and stress management techniques so that we can identify the negative beliefs and thought patterns that contribute to your anxiety and then learn how to transform these into something more adaptive.

When doing therapy with my clients, I always provide a safe space for them to explore their fears and anxieties, gain insights into their triggers, and build resilience. I know talking about your fears to someone else can be stressful, but in my virtual office, you can feel safe and secure.

I recognize that every person has different experiences, and there is no one-size-fits-all solution to mental health challenges. I tailor my approach to meet your specific needs and goals. You don’t have to do this alone – I am here to be on your team!
