Meet Zinta.

Zinta Auzins - Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Zinta’s Story

Zinta always felt pulled towards a career in therapy, even when she was in high school. She was fascinated by people - why we think the ways we do, why we feel what we feel, and how our experiences impact us.

While Zinta thought training as a therapist would be a good fit, she also felt that getting to know herself and gain life experience were important to pursue first. She obtained an undergraduate degree and worked in another field for several years before circling back to her dream of becoming a therapist.

Now, after a Bachelors degree in psychology, and a Master’s degree in psychotherapy, Zinta helps clients navigate all the hard parts about being a human in our modern world.

What does Zinta help with?

Zinta helps her clients with the following:

  • anxiety, stress, and burnout

  • relationship issues, whether these be with friends, family, romantic partners, or co-workers (she also offers in-person couples therapy!)

  • depression and low mood

  • big life transitions, like divorce, job change/loss, grief, and more

  • processing past traumatic experiences so they don’t continue to show up in the present

  • self-confidence and self-worth

Get to Know Zinta

Outside of work, Zinta loves being in nature, gardening, sewing, knitting, (she is a country kid at heart), playing guitar and singing (she was in two bands!), urban photography, board games and checking out restaurants with friends.

Sometimes, you might find her attempting to play soccer or trying out other sports.

How does Zinta help?

Zinta focuses on helping clients explore their emotions on a deep level. This includes understanding how and why they show up, and how clients can learn to support and validate their difficult feelings.

Zinta specializes in assisting clients understand their relationships and attachment styles. She uses Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) to help clients navigate their relational challenges, and become more confident.

Zinta works with both the brain and the body to help clients find a sense of safety and comfort. This includes polyvagal informed somatic techniques, which she also brings to her work with clients that are wanting to process past trauma.
